1. Scope of Services
I provide professional furniture assembly and small handyman services exclusively within the Utrecht area.

Service options

  • Standard Service: For bookings made in advance. You receive a quote, and payment is due upon completion.
  • Urgent Service: For jobs within the next two working days, shown in my live calendar. You select the required hours and pay in full upfront to confirm the booking.

Travel charges: No additional travel fees apply within Utrecht.

2. Pricing & Payment

  • Standard Service: Payment upon completion.
  • Urgent Service: Full payment upfront to confirm the reservation.
  • Preferred payment method: iDEAL; debit/credit cards and cash also accepted.
  • Processing & invoicing: Where applicable, payments are processed securely via Rabobank; invoices are issued electronically via e-Boekhouden.nl.
  • All prices include VAT unless otherwise stated.
  • Additional material costs not included in the quote will be discussed and agreed upon in advance.
  • Late payment: Legal interest applies from the day after completion. Statutory collection costs (incassokosten) may be charged in accordance with Dutch law.

3. Cancellations & Right of Withdrawal (Consumers)

  • Cancellations: Please notify me at least 24 hours in advance. Later cancellations may incur a €25 fee, which I may waive at my discretion in exceptional cases.
  • Right of withdrawal (consumers): Under EU and Dutch law, you have 14 days from the date of booking to withdraw from a distance contract without giving any reason, unless:
    1. you expressly request that the service begin before the end of the 14-day withdrawal period; and
    2. you confirm in writing (e.g., via checkbox or email) that you understand you will lose your right of withdrawal once the service is fully performed.
  • If the service has begun within the 14-day period and you withdraw before completion, you will be charged proportionally for the part of the service already performed.
  • Urgent Service bookings: By booking, you expressly request that the service begin before the end of the 14-day withdrawal period and confirm that you will lose your right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed.

4. Force Majeure
Neither party is liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control, such as illness, accidents, extreme weather, strikes, or transport breakdowns. In such cases, obligations may be suspended or cancelled without liability.

5. Wall Mounting Policy
Wall mounting will be carried out only if explicitly recommended by the manufacturer and deemed technically safe and possible by me. The final safety decision rests with me.
By booking, you confirm that all necessary permissions have been obtained. You are fully responsible for any consequences or disputes arising from drilling without proper consent.
I am not liable for damage to concealed wires, pipes, or other infrastructure unless I was explicitly informed of their location in advance.

6. Customer Responsibilities
You agree to be present (or ensure a designated adult representative is present), provide accurate details about the work, ensure the work area is clean, safe, and unobstructed, provide safe access, inform me of any relevant regulations or restrictions, and arrange packaging removal (I will bag and stack it neatly; removal is not included).

7. Limitation of Liability
I am insured for professional liability with Interpolis. My liability for property damage caused by my negligence is limited to the amount covered by my insurance.
I am not liable for: pre-existing damage or structural defects; defects in products supplied by the customer; indirect or consequential losses (e.g., loss of rent, lost profits); disputes with third parties such as landlords or property owners.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

9. Complaints
If you have a complaint, please email me. I will respond within 14 days. If we cannot resolve the matter, you may submit it to the competent court in Utrecht or, if applicable, a recognised dispute resolution body.

10. Governing Law & Language
These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes will be settled exclusively in the courts of Utrecht, the Netherlands. In case of discrepancies between language versions, the Dutch version prevails.
